Interwoven Academy isn’t a factory-line, high school happy meal:
it’s fusion cuisine.
"It seems the main rule that traditional schools teach is how to sit in rows quietly, which is perfect training for grown-up work in a dull office or factory, but not so good for education."
~ Matt Groening

Meets Multiple State
Requirements
At the parent's / instructor's discretion, Interwoven can meet numerous mandated homeschool learning requirements.
What Interwoven Is:
Let’s start with what Interwoven isn’t.
The Interwoven approach is nothing like the traditional, hockey-stick curve of increasing difficulty as the student progresses from year to year, say, from freshman to senior. Rather, each Block [which can be consumed in one 9-month academic year] presents the same level of complexity, challenge, and rewards.
And those rewards are quite significant, as research has demonstrated that interconnected and interrelated content is retained longer and more effectively.
What Interwoven is:
It’s just like it sounds… a truly interdisciplinary educational environment and approach for grades 9-12. Interwoven provides an innovative and effective alternative to the Industrial Age model of education [an 8-hour school day - plus homework - designed to prepare students for the conventional workplace.]
Interwoven Academy interconnects seemingly disparate subjects so that each day’s lesson explicitly draws connections across science, history, religion, literature, philosophy, art, politics, and more. The curriculum is delivered online as a subscription for serious homeschool families seeking a rigorous, big-picture high school education, supported by ongoing chat room discussions, video content, and commentary.
While the student will most certainly be exposed to multiple, essential disciplines as they would through more conventional educational environments, there’s a big difference.
